Sometime last year, Caroline Sam, popularly known
as Maheeda held a press conference – the objective was to convince her fans
that she had jettison her raunchy way of life, turned a new leaf and has
embraced Christ.
“I’m now born again. I’ve given my life
wholly to Christ. I was walking the path of darkness before but now I’ve seen
the light and I’m saved. It’s only by His grace that one can be born again and
I believe that His grace will keep me born again forever.” she said then.
Apart from the press briefing, she also released
some gospel songs, and later, announced her evangelism project, Maheeda Youths
for Christ.
Inspite of her gestures then, sceptics maintained,
that the singer was only putting up a publicity stunt, that it is only a matter
of time, the former prostitute would return to her old way of life.
Almost a year later, Maheeda proved her
skeptics right – she has released some raunchy photos on her Instagram account with
comments like "when my money,
knowledge or skill is not working, there is power between my legs. Am I drunk
or this white young boys r 2 fine n fresh, I no mind freshing up with them o,
see face see body choi, the third leg go fresh too" and “The hidden me is what I really wanna bring
out, I never start people are shouting hmm if I start ... I wonder.” Some of
her comments are unprintable, so I won’t bore you with them.
Meanwhile, a fan who was obviously amased at
the sudden turn of events sent her this message;
“It’s
sad that Maheeda actually sends GODLY tweets b4 and was for God, but now......☹"
its sad. Make God no let u see sadness”
The question on our lips is – Did Maheeda
actually got born again (st) or the ‘grace’ she talked about last year was not
sufficient for her?
